Tapstry ("we", "us") makes NFC business cards and the digital card pages they open. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We follow the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).

1. Information we collect

From customers who order a card. To build your card and your card page, we collect what you give us, such as:

  • Your name, job title, company and tagline
  • Your photo
  • Your phone number, email address and social media links (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Viber, WhatsApp and similar)
  • Details we need to arrange how you receive your card, such as a pickup or meet-up time
  • If you choose the optional payment section: your payment QR codes (such as GCash, Maya or bank QR) and bank transfer details
  • Your messages to us on Instagram or email

From people who visit a card page or this website. We do not ask visitors to create an account. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type and the pages visited. We do not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics tools in the future, we will update this policy.

2. How we use your information

  • To create, print and hand over your card, and to set up and update your card page
  • To generate the Save Contact file (.vcf) and QR code on your card page
  • To reply to your questions and handle your order
  • To keep the website secure and working properly
  • To follow the law when required

3. Your card page is public

Anything you put on your card page can be seen by anyone who taps your card, scans your QR code or has your link. This includes your name, photo, phone number, email, social links and any payment details you choose to show. Only include information you are comfortable sharing. Tell us if you want something removed or hidden.

4. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run Tapstry, such as website hosting and card printing, and only as much as they need to do their job. We may also disclose information if the law, a court or a government authority requires it.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your card page is active and as long as needed to support your card. If you ask us to take your page down, we will remove it and delete or anonymize your information, except for records we are required to keep.

6. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. No website or storage method is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

7. Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the right to:

  • Be informed about how your data is used
  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct information that is wrong or out of date
  • Object to or withdraw consent for certain uses
  • Ask us to erase or block your information
  • Receive a copy of your information in a common format
  • Be compensated for damages caused by unlawful use of your data

8. Children

Tapstry is not meant for people under 18. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to order for you.

9. Links to other sites

Your card page may link to other services such as Facebook, Instagram, Viber or WhatsApp. We are not responsible for how those services handle your information. Please read their privacy policies.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
